Join us just before sunset on a festive Halloween walk through a historic quarantine cemetery in Manly’s beautiful North Head. Perched upon the clifftops, we’ll travel back in time in our small group as we walk amongst beautiful trails leading to a quarantine cemetery, a hanging swamp and WWII relics all while observing the unique ecosystem and birdlife here.

With the haunting ringing of Pied Currawong calls in the background, we’ll play birding bingo for prizes and you’ll hear a few spooky stories about North Head. This walk is recommended for beginners or anyone who wants to have a little Halloween fun!

Some of the exciting birds we mighhhttt see along the way are: New Holland Honeyeaters, Little Wattlebirds, Silvereyes, Australian Brush Turkeys, Black-faced Cuckooshrikes, White-bellied Sea Eagles and more.

What You’ll Get: A two hour birdwatching walk with your guide Stephanie through North Head with a bit of spooky history mixed in during the lead-up to Halloween including a special birding bingo checklist for a chance to win prizes. You’ll also get a Sydney Bird Club pin and a unique Halloween pumpkin carving stencil of an Australian bird to take home with you.

This walk is recommended for beginners or anyone who wants to have fun! Sydney Bird Club was founded by a couple of fun-loving artists (Stephanie and Amy from Outer Island). Our seasonal walks are free and a way for us to share our love for birds and the beautiful city we live in. Good vibes only!
