Sydney Shorebirds: Sydney Olympic Park | Saturday 22 Feb, 8AM
Update status: this event is fully booked
Join us at the incredible Sydney Olympic Park to learn about the fascinating migratory shorebirds summering in Sydney. We’ll explore the park in our small group looking for these special birds while learning to identify tricky shorebirds and spotting familiar favourites along the way. Part of the East Asian-Australasian Flyway, migratory birds travel to Sydney from as far away as Alaska and Siberia to escape the Northern Hemisphere’s cold winter each year. Their journeys are among the most incredible stories in the natural world and we’ll share them all while investigating this site, rich with migratory species.
