Calling all LGBTQI+ birders in Sydney and beyond for a special Twilight Walk in Centennial Park! We’ll celebrate Mardi Gras by enjoying the company of other rainbow birders in our community while taking a stroll during nature’s golden hour to explore this epic birdwatching spot. As a bonus we’ll observe the incredible daily ‘commute’ of thousands of Grey-headed Flying Foxes as they leave the park to disperse throughout Sydney.

A fun and special checklist will be provided on the day. This walk will be capped at a smaller number than our other walks with members of the LGBTQI+ community encouraged to sign-up.

This month we’ve partnered with the Forcibly Displaced People Network (FDPN) in support of this incredible organisation, the first LGBTIQA+ refugee-led organisation in Australia committed to building a future where every LGBTIQA+ forcibly displaced person thrives, with their rights and dignity protected - across Australia and around the world.

The bird walk is free to attend, but if you're able to, would you kindly consider making a donation to support the important work these folks do, here's the link: https://shoutforgood.com/fundraisers/4FDPN

If you donate $15 or more, email us the receipt and we'll bring one of our Bird Guides for you to the walk as a gift (valued at $19). Alternatively, if you can't make the walk, but would like to donate and donate $25 or more, email us the receipt and your mailing address and we’ll mail you a guide :)
